New York City, Minnesota: The Moon

about

Wrote this for a full album. Full album is to have guests but obviously, Fuck off covid19. I played all the keyboard parts instead of programming them this time on my Yamaha Reface DX.

lyrics

Pretty sure I wrote a much nicer song
About you
Earlier today
Empathy or sympathy
Epiphany
Just a pity that you're
Going the wrong way.

You're so strong but you can't stand up on your own
The neighbors provided you with house and home
And at the epicenter from brother to you sister
Keep separate the colors to paint your self interest

I'm not trying to come up with a better method
And I'm not here to save the day.
So next time around you better call someone else
(I know you think you know most everything)
From here on out better keep it to yourself.
It's not the first you've heard me say
I'm not dying to help you when you won't save yourself
Though it's killing us both to live this way.

Pretty sure I wrote the cleverest song
Without you
Just the other day
Sincerity or apathy for an
Enemy
All mixed up with nothing good to say

You "grown up" but you can't decipher what is what
The neighbors just too tired of giving a fuck
You play the opposition now no one cares to listen
If he said it or he didn't doesn't matter
But which is it?

Not going to die.
To help you.
